BALANCED NUTRITION FOR HEALTHY LIVING
Good nutrition is essential for good health. The statement, “We are what we eat” has been around for ever, but these words ring true. Have you ever noticed when you eat process food you feel awful? Process food makes you feel like you have been through the ringer…much like the food itself.
When you eat fresh, raw, natural foods you feel vibrant, energized, and healthy. This is one of the benefits of eating a plant based diet. There a so many health benefits to eating plants.
Maybe you feel you could never give up process foods or animal based foods. Well, I used to feel that way too. After some health issues I started to reconsider that stance. I started by changing my milk to a plant based option. Then, I started having meatless Mondays, and adding in more fruits and vegetables each day. I started making more soups because I could use a lot of vegetables and only a little meat for flavor. Eventually, I started cutting out more and more animal products and I didn’t them. I had to research recipes a bit more but I found great ideas and started implementing them.
I guess my point is, you don’t have to wake up one day and change everything at once. This change can be gradual and fluid. Focus on healthy eating but don’t feel deprived. It’s all about BALANCE1
