Diane Sullivan, based in Poultney, Vermont is a Level 4 Essentrics Instructor, a student of Somatic Movement and healthy eating enthusiast. I have over 20 years experience teaching in the fitness industry.

Chronic aches and pains can diminish the pleasure of living. If you limit your movement, you can lose the ability to move fully. Little by little the activities you once enjoyed doing become too difficult or uncomfortable. You don’t have to settle for less. Dynamic movement is gentle and safe; and may turn back the hands of time by improving mobility.

I began going to Essentrics Class in 2022.
My retirement started in 2020, shortly before Covid lockdown’s had started.
Like many people, I sat home too much, and baked sweets .
When I started class, I had allowed myself to get in the worse shape of my life. My legs and feet hurt almost constantly, I went to the chiropractor twice a week. I felt like the retirement, I had worked so hard to earn, was miserable.
After starting Essentrics class, I rarely have pain, my legs are pain free, my feet rarely hurt. My chiropractor appointments are now every 8 weeks. I can move again, I can reach things on top shelf. I can move more than I could 5 years ago.
I love my instructor, Diane, she is a friend that wants the very best health for not just myself, but for her entire class. Her class is warm and inviting. I am far from the youngest person in class. But there has never been a feeling of competition, no feeling of being too old, or too out of shape.
My friends, that I have met there, are wonderful, I love to see them, and I miss them when they are away.

Stretch with Diane is my favorite class of all time. I love how my body feels now that I can see and feel

Essentrics…One of the best things I have done for myself. I have been attending Diane’s exercise classes since fall of 2021. I am 72 years old. Before I began her class, I suffered from low back pain due to an automobile accident. I have been taking Diane's class for just a few weeks. When I started this class I was suffering from extreme joint pain, arthritis in my feet, fatigue, and borderline high blood pressure. My doctor had recommended that I purchase a home blood pressure monitor, so I could track my own blood pressure, which had been 148/87 at my last doctor visit. My most recent blood pressure reading was 118/66! Not only that, but my joint pain is resolving, my foot pain is nearly gone, and I have more energy than I have in a very long time. An added benefit - even though it hasn't been a specific goal - is some weight loss since starting the class. I'm motivated to take better care of my body, and Diane helps me feel successful!
